PAYMENT ORDERS

If you want to make a credit card payment on a case with a payment order, go to Judici. Enter your case number or search by entering your name (Last Name, First Name). Follow the directions after your case has been selected.

You will need:

  1. Credit or Debit Card
  2. Moultrie County Payment Form Number: 141601
  3. Defendant Name / Date of Birth
  4. Case/Ticket Number
  5. Payment Amount

TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS

If your ticket is marked "COURT APPEARANCE REQUIRED", you CAN NOT pay prior to your appearance. Go to court on the date given on your ticket.

If your ticket is marked "NO COURT APPEARANCE REQUIRED", you have the following options.

  1. PLEAD GUILTY, PAY, AND/OR APPLY FOR THE TRAFFIC SAFETY PROGRAM ONLINE.

    You do not have to appear in court and, if you successfully complete the program, a conviction is not entered on your driving record. If you do not want to apply for the program, you can still plead guilty and pay online to avoid any further requirements. Stop here and follow the instructions on Judici.

  2. PLEAD GUILTY AND APPLY FOR THE TRAFFIC SAFETY PROGRAM BY MAIL.

    You do not have to appear in court and, if you successfully complete the program, a conviction is not entered on your driving record. 

    To determine if you are eligible for the Traffic Safety Program, please answer the following questions:
    1. In the twelve (12) months preceding the issue date of this ticket, have you been convicted of any moving violation anywhere in Illinois?
    2. In the four (4) years preceding the issue date of this ticket, have you taken a 4-hour Defensive Driving course or been on Court Supervision anywhere in Illinois?
    3. Was your ticket marked with COURT APPEARANCE REQUIRED?
    4. Have you been charged with speeding twenty-one (21) miles per hour or more over the speed limit or a violation occurring after September 1, 2013?

If you can answer "Yes" to any of the questions above, you are NOT eligible for the program. Please contact the Moultrie County State's Attorneys Office at 217-728-4353 if you are interested in requesting court supervision.

If you answered "No" to all of the above questions, you qualify for the Traffic Safety Program. There is an additional cost of $50.00 for participation. Please read and complete the registration form. Return the completed form, a blue copy of your citation, and a cashier's check or money order for $164.00 plus the cost of the program, to the Moultrie County Circuit Clerk, 10 S. Main Suite 7, Sullivan, IL 61951.

*** If you were under the age of twenty-five (25) at the time of the violation, and qualify, you MUST complete the Alive at 25 Program within 120 days of the plea of guilty.

***If you are under the age of eighteen (18), and qualify, you MUST appear in court with a parent to request participation in the program. If allowed, you must complete the Alive at 25 Program within 120 days of the plea of guilty. Please contact the clerk's office for further information.

***Do you have a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)?
If you have a CDL, you may be eligible to complete the program; however, it will not prevent action against your CDL.

3. PLEAD GUILTY BY MAIL.

You may plead guilty and pay applicable fees. A conviction is reported to the Secretary of State. We do not accept PERSONAL CHECKS. Please remit a cashier's check or money order. Mail your payment, along with the blue copy of your citation, to Moultrie County Circuit Clerk, 10 S. Main Suite 7, Sullivan, IL 61951

Speeding 1-20 mph over the limit: $164
Speeding 21-25 mph over the limit: $164
All other non-court appearance offenses: $164
Seat belt offense: $164

4. PLEAD NOT GUILTY AND REQUEST A TRIAL.

Follow the directions on the back of a blue copy of your traffic ticket.


CONSERVATION VIOLATIONS
